The Navarre-based company KoalaLifter, an innovator in climbing cranes for the wind energy sector, was invited by the European Commission to the Web Summit technology fair, which took place in Lisbon between 11 and 14 November.
Thanks to the EIC Accelerator programme, obtained by the Navarre-based company in March 2020 and the great impact that this technology will have on Europe’s energy transition, the Commission has chosen KoalaLifter as a case of success and technological innovation to represent it at this event.
The Web Summit is an annual conference that was held this year in Lisbon and next year will be held in Qatar. It is considered the largest technology event in the world as it is a key meeting point between the largest investment funds and technology start-ups.
KoalaLifter was represented by Emmanuel García de la Peña (CEO) and Angel Galán (CFO), who presented the project and the importance of European funding through this type of programme for disruptive projects with high potential, with a high innovation load and which supports some of the main European policies: energy transition and climate change control.
