Since February 1, Enercluster has a new managing director. This is Iker Chasco Eguílaz, who takes over from Javier Villanueva, who becomes vice president of the governing board. The new director has been selected in a process in which more than 50 candidates have been analysed.
Iker Chasco has Navarre family roots, was born in Vitoria and has lived in Pamplona for ten years. He is a Civil Engineer from the University of Cantabria and is currently studying a degree in Industrial Technologies at UNED. In addition to Spanish, he speaks Basque, Portuguese, English, German, and has knowledge of Chinese.
In the words of the new managing director, “I am very excited and looking forward to the exciting challenge and responsibility of leading Enercluster. I want to thank the board for trusting me and I am sure that we will work as a team to, based on the great work already done, achieve new objectives and goals within the Navarrese renewable sector”.
The professional career of the new Enercluster manager has been linked to the renewable sector, first as Key Account Manager at STI Norland and later in the wind energy division of Ingeteam Power Technology. Since 2022, he directed the Fluitecnik Wind Business Unit.
The new manager replaces Javier Villanueva, who took over the position in July 2021.
