The Regional Minister of Industry and Ecological and Digital Business Transition, Mikel Irujo, highlighted “the fundamental role of the local supply value chain in the Navarre wind energy sector”, at the annual WindEurope event, dedicated to onshore and offshore wind energy, held in Bilbao from March 20 to 22.
“The sector is going through a convulsive moment full of uncertainty. It is important to act quickly taking into account the whole supply chain we have in our community. It’s not just about the big companies, it’s important to support all the local suppliers that bring value to the sector. This is the only way to ensure that Navarra continues to be one of the reference regions in the sector at European level”, Irujo defended at the meeting.
During the event, the Minister highlighted the contributions made by the Navarre wind energy sector, through Enercluster, on the package of measures to support the sector (WPAP) that the European Union published in October 2023 and was ratified on December 19 by EU ministers and more than 300 companies in the sector.
