Our associated company Ríos Renovables has launched a collective self-consumption photovoltaic installation at the industrial estate of Cintruénigo, a pioneering project in Navarra that will enable both local businesses and households to share solar energy under the “solar neighbourhood” model.
The installation, financed entirely through private investment, has been deployed on the rooftop of the company Lacastone, which had the space available to house the infrastructure. This provides a solution for several companies on the industrial estate that lacked the technical capacity or available space to install their own photovoltaic generation systems.
The plant covers a usable area of 1,114 m2 with a coplanar structure adapted to a dual-pitched roof with two orientations. The system integrates 191 photovoltaic modules of 545 Wp, reaching a peak power of 104 kWp. The estimated annual production is 137.82 MWh, with a specific yield of 1,324 kWh/kWp and a direct self-consumption rate of 97%.
The project is the result of a collaboration between Ríos Renovables, responsible for the technical design, execution and maintenance of the plant, and Barter-Visalia, in charge of continuous monitoring and the technology for remote energy distribution among participants.
With this launch, Cintruénigo becomes a benchmark for collective self-consumption in the Ribera de Navarra region, demonstrating that shared distributed generation is a viable and efficient solution for bringing renewable energy closer to both the industrial sector and the general public.
