RenerCycle‘s work in circular economy has been awarded by El Periodico De La Energía for the Best Net Zero Initiative at the national level.
The awards recognized the best initiatives or projects of the year and the work of companies, public administrations and the most representative personality of the Energy sector.
More than 200 guests packed the Rafael del Pino Auditorium in Madrid at The Night of Energy. The director of El Periódico de la Energía, Ramón Roca was in charge of welcoming the attendees.
The second edition of ‘La Noche de la Energía’, a reference event at Spanish level in which El Periódico de la Energía rewards the best initiatives and the outstanding work of companies, public administrations and personalities in the Spanish energy field, was attended by Joan Groizard, General Director of the Institute for Energy Diversification and Saving (IDAE) in charge of giving the inaugural speech. In the same Joan Groizar stressed that “It is very important that the energy transition is done with technology with a seal ‘made in Europe'”.
In this year’s edition, more than 200 candidatures have been submitted, from which 14 have been awarded to remarkable companies such as CEPSA (Andalusian Hydrogen Valley project), EDP and PETROPRIX Group (for the development of the largest Ultrafast Recharging Network), SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC and ENAGAS (for the District Cooling projector in Barcelona), RED ELECTRICA DE ESPAÑA (for the project Dynamic Exploitation of the Transmission Capacity of Power Lines in Spain), ENDESA (for the ECity Sevilla project), RIC ENERGY (for the Electrification project of the Kaluma Refugee Camp in Kenya), SENER (for the Energy Management System initiative), NATURGY (award for the Best Talent Initiative for its Flex&Lead system), REPSOL (for its Repsol Solmatch initiative), CAPITAL ENERGY (award for the best Energy Storage initiative), MADRID City Council (for the Madrid 360 Solar project), IBERDROLA (award for Best Business Leadership in Energy Transition) and RenerCycle (Best Net Zero Initiative)
RenerCycle´s representatives Sara Bernaldo De Quirós (Board Member) and Javier Villanueva (CEO of RenerCycle) received the award by the hand of Rafael Sierra Viñas (AMARA NZero)
