Navarra presents the Net Zero Tech Valley project to attract clean technology industry

Navarra presenta el proyecto Net Zero Tech Valley para atraer industria de tecnologías limpias

The Government of Navarra has presented in Germany the Navarra Net Zero Tech Valley initiative, a framework designed to facilitate the establishment and development of industrial projects linked to the manufacturing of equipment and components for clean energy technologies, with Enercluster participating alongside other ecosystem stakeholders.

The initiative was unveiled at Hannover Messe, during the launch event of the European Acceleration Valleys network, in the presence of institutional representatives such as Stéphane Séjourné, Vice-President of the European Commission, and industrial regions including Lower Saxony, Lusatia and the Netherlands.

Navarra Net Zero Tech Valley is conceived as a strategic ecosystem to accelerate the development of clean technology industries in the region and is presented as the first initiative of its kind in southern Europe. Its objective is to strengthen the industrial base and generate high-quality employment in areas such as energy storage, wind and solar power, green hydrogen and smart grid technologies.

The project aims to promote both the attraction of new investments and the consolidation of companies already established in the region, leveraging an industrial environment that integrates companies, technology centres, training systems and support entities.

Among the planned measures, the Government of Navarra includes the simplification of administrative procedures, the reduction of processing times and improved coordination between public administrations, with the aim of offering companies a more agile, predictable and results-oriented environment.

In this regard, the initiative includes the implementation of one-stop-shop mechanisms and support services throughout the entire investment process, building on previous experiences of institutional collaboration aimed at facilitating the arrival of industrial projects.

The initiative is aligned with European industrial policy frameworks, in line with the Net-Zero Industry Act, and with Navarra’s S4 Strategy, both aimed at developing specialised industrial ecosystems and strengthening competitiveness in strategic sectors.

Navarra has a consolidated industrial ecosystem, with a complete value chain and the capacity to address projects at different stages, from development to scaling. Navarra Net Zero Tech Valley builds on this environment to facilitate the implementation of new business initiatives, both for large companies and small and medium-sized enterprises.

The project is driven by SODENA through a public-private collaboration model involving industrial stakeholders and entities from the regional ecosystem, with the aim of attracting investment and strengthening industrial activity in Navarra.
