Pamplona, 12 January 2024. Nabrawind Technologies has joined the Chair of Renewable Energies of the UPNA, thus forming a group of 9 companies that have joined this scientific-technological collaboration for research and teaching at the Public University of Navarra.

The Chair of Renewable Energies of the Public University of Navarra is a framework of scientific-technological collaboration between the University and the different companies with the aim of carrying out joint research and teaching activities, such as master’s theses or doctoral theses, courses, seminars and training sessions.

Given the Navarrese company’s extensive experience in the renewable energy sector, it expects to provide great value to all the students of the chair.

The adhesion of Nabrawind Technologies to the UPNA Chair has been formalised with the signing of an agreement between Ramón Gonzalo, rector of the academic institution, and Eneko Sanz Pascual, general manager of the Navarrese company.

The signing ceremony was also attended by Maite Ibarrola Esain, Director of People and Culture, and Ion Arocena de la Rúa, Director of Technology, on behalf of Nabrawind. On behalf of the UPNA, Francisco Javier Arregui San Martín, vice-rector of Research; Pablo Sanchis Gúrpide, director of the Chair of Renewable Energies; Idoia San Martín Biurrun,
technical secretary of the Chair; and Javier Goicoechea Fernández, director of the School of Industrial, Computer and Telecommunications Engineering (ETSIIIT) and president of the Chair’s monitoring committee.

This Navarrese company, founded in 2015 and based in Pamplona, has a staff of 41 people (a third of them women). One of the main characteristics of the staff is that 99% of them have a university education. Moreover, of the total number of people working in this Navarrese firm, 51% have completed their university studies at the UPNA (specifically, 46% at the School of Industrial Engineering, Computer Science and Telecommunications, and 5% at the Faculty of Economics and Business).
