The Directorate-General for Education and Vocational Training, part of the Department of Education, is the body responsible for the planning, organisation, management and development of the education system and vocational training within its areas of competence. Its responsibilities include the development of educational regulations, coordination of educational institutions and training programmes, quality assurance in education, and aligning training provision with social and labour market needs.
