The webinar on ‘Industrial decarbonisation and new ETS2 regulations’, organised by ENERCLUSTER and with the participation of Garbiñe Basterra, Director General of Energy, Business R&D&I and Entrepreneurship of the Government of Navarra, Héctor de Lama, Technical Director of Unión Española Fotovoltaica-UNEF, and Jesús Castillo, CEO of Greendur, took place on Tuesday 17 June.
During the session, the session focused on:
- The regulatory framework of the Emissions Trading System (ETS2), which will come into force in 2027 and will affect small industries, such as agri-food, buildings and transport.
- The sectors with the greatest potential to electrify industrial heat.
- A Business Case for thermal storage as a substitute for fossil fuels.
