Enercluster, the renewable industry cluster of Navarra, has organised a working day at Ingeteam’s offices in Sarriguren to propose specific actions within the framework of the Windpower Action Plan published by the European Union on 24 October.
The meeting brought together representatives of 20 companies associated with Enercluster, who met to discuss the first draft of measures proposed by the Spanish Wind Energy Association (AEE) and the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO). Among the companies attending were representatives from developers, wind turbine manufacturers, component suppliers, service providers and technology centres, thus covering the entire wind value chain.
The main objective of the meeting was to generate a space for debate and collaboration to enrich the existing draft with new proposals that will be sent to both the AEE and the Government of Navarre and MITECO so that they can incorporate them into the final document, which will be submitted to the European Commission.
Given the critical situation of the sector, all attendees agreed that we must take action as soon as possible and take ambitious and far-reaching measures as quickly as possible to protect and strengthen the European wind industry.
Enercluster reaffirms its constant commitment to the promotion and advancement of wind energy as a fundamental pillar of decarbonisation, as well as to the defence of the European wind industry as a key value to be protected and strengthened. To this end, initiatives such as the EU WindPower Action Plan are very important tools that should encourage us to develop concrete actions with maximum agility through dialogue and collaboration between public institutions and the private sector.
