Enercluster’s participation as organiser of the grouped stand together with five associated companies – Barranquesa, EPER, Erekaldea, Fluitecnik and Nabrawind – has highlighted the commitment and capacity of the Navarre wind energy industry to face the current challenges of the European energy sector.
During the event, held from Aprin 8th to 10th in Copenhagen, which brought together more than 16,000 participants and 550 stands, crucial issues such as the need to accelerate the permitting of new wind projects, the expansion and modernisation of electricity grids, the electrification of industry and the decarbonisation of the supply chain were addressed. These have proven to be key to achieving Europe’s climate and energy security goals.
Offshore takes centre stage
While this year’s event addressed a wide range of critical issues for the industry, the real focus was on offshore wind. The need to accelerate the deployment of both floating and fixed offshore wind farms was high on the agenda, with discussions focusing on how to scale up the necessary infrastructure, reduce logistical costs and ensure the environmental compatibility of new developments. It was emphasised that offshore is not only a key source of clean energy, but also a strategic opportunity to create jobs, re-industrialise coastal regions and strengthen Europe’s competitiveness vis-à-vis Asia or the United States.
In addition, the urgency of advancing in the decarbonisation of the wind energy supply chain has been highlighted. Collaboration between manufacturers, logistics operators, ports and suppliers will be essential to reduce emissions at all stages of production, from components to the installation and operation of wind farms.
The Navarre delegation insisted on the importance of having a solid, agile and efficient supply chain, capable of responding to the needs of a Europe that is seeking to accelerate its energy transition. The experience and technological capacity of Navarre’s companies places them in a strategic position within the European context.
‘The collaboration between companies in Navarra and their presence at international events such as WindEurope 2025 strengthen our position in the European market and underline our commitment to a sustainable, competitive and industrially sound energy transition,’ Enercluster said. The fair was an opportunity to establish new alliances, share learning and vindicate the role of regional industrial ecosystems – such as that of Navarre – in the major European objectives of decarbonisation, energy sovereignty and sustainable economic development.
