Enercluster has concluded its participation in The Smarter E Europe — the most important solar and energy storage event in Europe, which includes the Intersolar and EES fairs among others — with a positive balance and strong feedback from the companies sharing the joint stand: EOSOL, Grupo Leadernet, and NTV Solutions. From
May 7 to 9, the Munich exhibition centre became the epicentre of clean energy, hosting more than 107,000 professional visitors and 2,737 exhibitors from 57 countries, with one clear takeaway: the solar sector is not only advancing — it is redefining the rules of the global energy system.
Enercluster’s participation took place within a shared space with the Basque Energy Cluster and was supported by the Navarre Internationalisation Plan (PIN). The goal: to showcase the potential of the renewable energy ecosystem of Navarre on the international stage.
Trends and Reflections from the Fair
Enercluster and its associated companies were able to observe first-hand the majortransformations currently reshaping the solar sector. Intersolar 2025 served as a real-timebarometer for the ongoing energy transition.
- Energy storage as an essential complement to photovoltaic deployment:
The need for 24/7 energy availability is driving strong development in storage systems.
Batteries are not only stabilising the grid, but also enabling new energy trading models.
Storage is increasingly becoming a structural pillar of the energy transition. - Asian manufacturers and European competitiveness:
The strong presence of Asian manufacturers highlighted the urgency of strengthening
European industry. The need for European local content policies to safeguard the
supply chain is becoming more evident — as already implemented by countries such as
the United States, Brazil, or India. - Spain’s recent blackout as a wake-up call:
The recent power outage in Spain has triggered a critical conversation about system
resilience. At the fair, the need to develop more robust, integrated and flexible
infrastructures capable of responding to future network stress scenarios was discussed. - Acceleration of the energy transition:
The event confirmed the global momentum behind renewables, with a strong focus on
the need to accelerate the deployment of solar solutions in order to meet climate goals.
These trends not only define the current state of the solar industry, but also anticipate the strategic direction it will follow in the coming years. The ability to adapt to this new context will be key to ensuring competitiveness and industrial resilience.
General Conclusions from Intersolar Europe 2025
Intersolar Europe 2025 has confirmed what many had already foreseen: solar energy hasestablished itself as a strategic pillar of the new global energy model. The event highlighted notonly the technological strength of the industry, but also its organisational maturity, its shortand long-term vision, and its capacity to adapt to changing environments.
It is also essential to underline the importance of strengthening public-private partnerships, promoting stable regulatory frameworks, and encouraging collaboration between regions and clusters. In this context, Enercluster reaffirms its commitment to the energy transition from an industrial, collaborative, and globally open perspective, and will continue working actively to defend and strengthen the renewable value chain.
