Enercluster participates in Clusters Meet Regions, the major European cluster forum held in Navarra

ENERCLUSTER participa en Clusters Meet Regions

Enercluster’s managing director, Iker Chasco, took part in Clusters Meet Regions & ECCP Matchmaking, the European event organised by the European Cluster Collaboration Platform (ECCP) in collaboration with the Government of Navarra and Sodena, which brought together cluster, business and public-sector representatives from across Europe for two days in Pamplona. In his talk, “The Clean Industrial Deal, a golden opportunity for the preservation of renewable industry in Europe”, Chasco underlined several key messages about the present and future of Europe’s renewable industry. Among them: controlling the manufacturing of renewable technology is as important as inventing it; and Europe faces a paradox, while being one of the largest markets for renewables, its industry is losing ground to other global blocs. He also noted that current EU regulations such as NZIA and CBAM “do not yet have sufficient scope to support and strengthen a European manufacturing base capable of competing at international scale”. In this context, he argued that the Clean Industry Deal represents “a golden opportunity” to adopt more agile, coherent and ambitious measures that ensure a robust renewable industry in Europe, capable of generating energy independence and societal value. Following his presentation, Enercluster’s managing director joined the roundtable “Manufacturing of clean energy technologies in the new global scenario”, alongside Luis Solla, CEO of Nordex Electrolyzers; Asier Rodríguez, General Manager Generators & Motors Division at Siemens Gamesa; and David Solé, Executive Committee member at Ingeteam, in a session moderated by Julia Elizalde, Communications Director at CENER. The debate addressed the main challenges and opportunities for Europe’s renewable industrial base, from reindustrialisation to strategic autonomy. Held at the Baluarte Conference Centre, the event aims to strengthen cooperation between European regions and clusters to boost industrial competitiveness, innovation and the twin green and digital transition. Navarra thus consolidates its position as a European benchmark in cluster policy, with an industrial ecosystem that accounts for 32% of regional value added and nine active clusters in strategic sectors such as automotive, health, agri-food and renewable energy. Enercluster’s participation underscores our commitment to European cooperation and our role as the voice of Navarra’s renewable sector, promoting a green, innovative and resilient industrial model from our region. Nabralift 3.MAX obtains IECRE certification with a maintenance-free structural design

Nabralift

Nabralift’s bolted joints can operate for over 25 years without re-tightening. Nabrawind has received a Design Evaluation Conformity Statement (DECS) from UL Solutions for its Nabralift 3.MAX tower family, in compliance with the international IECRE OD-501 wind turbine certification scheme. Designed to support wind turbines of up to 8 megawatts, the 3.MAX solution can reach hub heights of up to 210 metres. It represents a significant structural improvement over previous generations — as it can withstand loads up to 30% higher — and expands its compatibility with the vast majority of next-generation turbines now entering commercial operation in onshore wind projects worldwide. The tower has also received IECRE certification as a maintenance-free structure, a recognition made possible by Nabrawind’s innovative engineering approach. Through the use of advanced design methodologies and calculation techniques, the company has successfully demonstrated that its bolted joints can operate for more than 25 years without the need for re-tightening. This validation is based on a comprehensive process that includes laboratory tests simulating 40 years of operation, as well as monitoring of the first towers installed, which have already accumulated over 30,000 operating hours. The 3.MAX tower family includes seven modular configurations built from interchangeable frame sections, all compatible with a common transition piece. This modular approach enables the design of logistically viable configurations for practically any hub height, while eliminating the need for large cranes during installation. In the segment of very tall towers — where concrete towers are usually the only alternative — Nabralift 3.MAX offers installation speeds between two and three times faster, providing a clear advantage in terms of timeframes and cost efficiency.
