SIG Coop marks 10 years strengthening renewable simulation and grid integration

SIG Coop, an Enercluster member company specialised in simulation and grid integration of photovoltaic, wind, BESS and hybrid plants, has celebrated its tenth anniversary with a gathering that brought together around one hundred professionals from the renewable ecosystem, strategic partners and representatives of leading national and international companies.

During the event, the company reviewed its main milestones and highlighted a growth model based on technical specialisation, cooperation with clients and partners, and a strong commitment to the cooperative model and the values of the social economy. Founders Óscar Alonso, Daniel Garralda and Xabier Barón underlined the role of the team and people-centred management as key to sustaining operations and market trust.

Founded in 2015, the company has posted 300% growth over the last five years and evolved from an activity initially focused on wind OEMs and converter manufacturers, IPPs and utilities to a more diversified base that includes grid code compliance demonstration projects and a stronger local presence. This collaborative approach has enabled SIG Coop to scale without oversizing its structure.

Today, the company operates in Portugal, Spain, Italy, Greece and Finland, and outside Europe in the United States, Australia and Brazil, with internationalisation as a lever to maintain specialisation and stay at the technical forefront. It is also exploring new opportunities in the Middle East and Central Asia in projects involving batteries and grid-forming technology, while keeping the right balance to serve its most active markets.

From Enercluster, congratulations to SIG Coop on these ten years, on its contribution to the competitiveness of Navarra’s renewable ecosystem, and on consolidating essential know-how for the safe and efficient integration of renewables into the grid.
