Grupo Enhol, an Enercluster member company, has signed a long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Swiss company Axpo for a total volume of 3.7 terawatt-hours (TWh) over a ten-year period. This represents the largest agreement of this kind signed by Axpo Iberia to date.
The transaction consolidates a long-standing collaboration between both companies in a context marked by increasing volatility in electricity markets and by the growing relevance of PPAs as key instruments to ensure financial stability, revenue visibility and risk management in renewable energy projects.
The agreement covers most of Grupo Enhol’s operational wind asset portfolio in Spain and represents a strategic step to optimise the structure of its renewable energy business in Europe. It will also strengthen revenue stability, improve long-term planning and support more efficient market risk management.
Both companies highlight that this partnership reflects a shared vision focused on financial strength, collaboration with leading international partners and the promotion of more sustainable and competitive energy models. In turn, Axpo emphasises its ability to structure complex, large-scale operations, providing solutions that combine deep market expertise, stability and comprehensive risk management.
