ENERCLUSTER’s Managing Director, Iker Chasco, has participated in Brussels in a key meeting with representatives of the European Commission, accompanied by the Regional Minister for Industry and Ecological and Digital Business Transition of the Government of Navarra, Mikel Irujo. The meeting served to convey the renewable energy sector’s concern about the lack of measures to guarantee the competitiveness of the local supply chain in the face of global markets.
During the meeting, held with representatives of the office of the Executive Vice-President for the Internal Market and the office of the First Vice-President and Commissioner for Competition, the need to promote an equitable legislative framework that guarantees the competitiveness of the European renewable energy industry was highlighted.
After the meeting, the representatives of the European Commission have shown their willingness to consider the support measures proposed by ENERCLUSTER and the Government of Navarra in the future “Clean Industrial Deal”, a strategic document on the renewable industry to be published in the coming weeks.
