Arena Green Power has obtained a favourable Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for a wind farm in Navarra, the first project of its kind to receive this approval in the region. The project will be located in the municipalities of Artajona and Mendigorría.
The installation includes ten wind turbines and an estimated investment of approximately €53 million. The resolution, issued by the Directorate-General for the Environment, confirms the environmental viability of the project, subject to compliance with the preventive, corrective and compensatory measures set out in the environmental impact study.
These conditions include specific actions aimed at minimising impacts on fauna, flora, soil and the surrounding environment, as well as the monitoring of a series of technical requirements throughout the development of the project.
Obtaining this favourable EIA represents a significant step forward for Arena Green Power’s project development in Navarra and for the addition of new renewable capacity in the region.
The company continues to work on securing the remaining permits required for the execution of the wind farm, in line with its strategy to develop renewable assets in the region.
This type of initiative contributes to strengthening Navarra’s position as an active environment for the deployment of renewable energy, supported by a robust regulatory framework and a consolidated industrial ecosystem.
