Our associated company Iruña Brakes has acquired 100 % of the Navarre-based firm Bikain Innovación, specialised in technical design and the manufacturing of tailor-made machinery, with the aim of reinforcing its engineering capabilities and advancing its international growth strategy.
This transaction completes the roadmap launched in 2023 with the integration of Perbay, a precision machining company focused on tooling solutions. The combination of both firms will strengthen product development and process engineering, enhancing the in-house design of braking systems and expanding the group’s presence in international markets such as Europe, India and the United States.
The integration of capabilities in automation, prototyping and industrial development will enable Iruña Brakes to optimise its processes, take on new business lines and accelerate technological innovation. The operation has also led to the incorporation of around fifteen professionals into the group, which now employs close to 150 people.
Founded in 1958, Iruña Brakes is a benchmark in the design and manufacturing of high-engineering braking systems for sectors including automotive, industrial and agricultural vehicles, off-road machinery and wind energy. The company operates industrial facilities in Spain, India and the United States and has built a strong track record in the development of braking components for wind turbines, particularly in the Asian market.
At Enercluster, we congratulate Iruña Brakes on this strategic milestone, which strengthens Navarra’s industrial ecosystem and contributes to driving innovation, internationalisation and the development of technological capabilities in the energy sector.
