IED receives a COFIDES loan to boost its expansion in the United States

IED recibe un préstamo de COFIDES para impulsar su implantación en Estados Unidos

Our member company IED, specialised in the design and manufacture of advanced electronics, has received a €500,000 loan from the Spanish Development Finance Institution (COFIDES) to strengthen its presence in the United States and launch a local manufacturing plan aimed at the renewable energy sector.

The financing, granted through the SME Investment Operations Fund (FONPYME), will enable the company to cover personnel expenses and logistical costs associated with the start-up of this strategic operation. The goal: to accelerate local production of electronic equipment for the solar industry and improve response times in one of the most competitive markets in the world.

IED supplies control systems for solar trackers, both for newly built plants and existing installations. Its expansion into the United States marks a decisive step toward accessing the world’s second-largest tracker market, deepening relationships with key clients and strengthening its international activity.

COFIDES highlights that this operation reflects its commitment to supporting SMEs and technology companies that drive competitiveness, innovation and the digital transformation of Spain’s productive sector, particularly in areas linked to the energy transition.

From ENERCLUSTER, we congratulate IED on this new milestone and on continuing to showcase high-value Navarra-based technology on the international stage.
