Enercluster participates as a founding member in the new Interregional Alliance of Energy Clusters of Spain

Alianza Interregional de Clústeres de la Energía de España

Enercluster took part this morning in Madrid in the official establishment of the Interregional Alliance of Energy Clusters of Spain, a new collaborative platform launched during Genera 2025 with the aim of strengthening cooperation between regions and accelerating a fair, sustainable and cohesive energy transition across the country.

The new alliance brings together the energy-sector clusters of nine autonomous communities (Andalusia, Aragon, the Balearic Islands, Castile and León, Catalonia, the Valencian Community, Extremadura, Galicia and Navarre), collectively representing more than 900 organisations, including companies, technology centres, universities, public administrations and professional associations.

During the signing ceremony, Enercluster’s Managing Director, Iker Chasco, underlined the significance of this agreement: “This is a milestone for the sector: for the first time, leading clusters from different regions are joining forces to address the challenges of the energy transition together. Navarre, as a leading region in renewable industry, aims to play a key role in this collaborative effort”.

With its establishment, the Interregional Alliance of Energy Clusters of Spain positions itself as a strategic instrument to boost innovation, strengthen the competitiveness of the energy sector and support the country on its path towards a decarbonised, resilient and fair energy model for all territories.

Main objectives of the alliance include:

  • Coordinating efforts to progress towards an equitable, sustainable and technologically advanced energy transition.
  • Promoting joint innovation and R&D&I projects at national and European level, especially within the framework of the green and digital transitions.
  • Acting as a unified voice for Spain’s innovative energy sector before national and international institutions.
  • Fostering public–private cooperation between regions and aligning cluster initiatives with energy and territorial cohesion policies.
  • Contributing to balanced development across all autonomous communities so that the energy transition generates employment, value and well-being throughout the country.
