CENER, the Spanish National Renewable Energy Centre, is a technology centre specialising in applied research and the development and promotion of renewable energies. CENER provides services worldwide in the fields of wind energy, solar (thermal and photovoltaic), biomass, energy in buildings and integration of renewable energy networks. Our ultimate goal is to improve the efficiency and, therefore, the competitiveness of a sector in constant change.
The objective of CENER’s Wind Energy Department is to develop applied research activities and provide technical advice, offering services to all the actors in the sector, such as promoters, manufacturers, financial entities, operators, public administrations and associations, both at national and international levels. In addition to its multidisciplinary team, the Wind Energy Department has important technological infrastructures, such as the Wind Turbine Test Laboratory and an Experimental Wind Farm in complex terrain.
