1,314 MW of renewable energy generation projects pass second regional processing milestone in Navarra
According to data published by the Government of Navarra, a total of 34 wind and solar projects in the pipeline have obtained the green light for the Prior Administrative Authorisation (AAP), a milestone that includes the positive Environmental Impact Statement (DIA) already obtained on 25 January, together with the Authorisation for uses on undeveloped land (ASNU) granted now.
Specifically, there have been 17 wind farms, with a total capacity of 420 MW, and another 17 solar farms, with a capacity of 894 MW. It should be remembered that the region currently has 1,355 MW of wind power installed, which, if these projects in the pipeline were completed, would increase wind power capacity by 31%, while solar power capacity would increase by 538%, from the current 166 MW.
The authorisation of 1,314 MW, which almost doubles the renewable park installed in Navarre, represents a firm step towards a more sustainable future, one of the many steps we still have to take in order to meet our energy objectives. In this line, from Enercluster we hope to see these more than 1,300 MW of renewable energy installed and producing clean energy as soon as possible.
